Marking a shift in both medium and emotion, Unheld introduces watercolor alongside charcoal on heavy paper, opening up a new chapter within the collection. This piece dives into the raw vulnerability of letting go. The upward tilt of the face and the closed eyes speak to surrender, grief, and the release of control. By letting water bleed into the dark, structured lines of the charcoal, the artistic process itself became a practice in allowing boundaries to soften. Unheld explores the heavy emotional spaces we carry, capturing a pivotal moment of emotional release as the series expands onto paper.
