“Heartlands”

The Genesis of Heartlands:

Every series has a beginning — a threshold crossed. For this body of work, that threshold was a single piece titled Heartlands. It began as a persistent image in the mind — a visual echo that could not be ignored. The process of translating this image onto canvas with charcoal became an act of transformation and therapy. Through its creation, heavy and painful seasons were processed, integrated, and finally released. When the piece was finished, the burden had dissolved, leaving behind a profound sense of serenity.
